At Evaluation by Aubuchon, we believe interior design should be more than an aesthetic choice; it should be an atmosphere. Our latest collaboration with Aubuchon Homes serves as a masterclass in modern coastal living, where high-end sophistication meets the effortless rhythm of the tides.
The Vision: Organic Meets Refined
The design narrative for the project centers on a “Soft Coastal” palette. By pairing crisp, white architectural lines with organic textures, we’ve created a space that feels both grounded and ethereal. From the woven rattan seating to the statement seagrass pendant lights, every element was selected to bring the tactile beauty of the outdoors inside.
A Palette Inspired by the Horizon
The heartbeat of the home lies in its tonal consistency. In the kitchen and owner’s bath, we utilized morning mist blue glass subway tiles to provide a subtle, luminous pop of color against the white cabinetry. This “Coastal Blue” theme is echoed through custom upholstery and curated artwork, ensuring a seamless visual flow from room to room.
Architectural Soul: Bespoke Millwork
Functionality is never an afterthought. We integrated bespoke millwork throughout the home, including floor-to-ceiling built-ins in the living area and textured shiplap feature walls in the owner’s suite. These custom elements provide architectural “bones” that elevate the home beyond a standard build, offering the perfect stage for the client’s collection of coastal treasures.
Living Without Boundaries
True to the Aubuchon Homes lifestyle, this project celebrates the indoor-outdoor flow. The transition from the dining area to the expansive terrace is nearly invisible, expanding the footprint of the home and inviting the Florida sunlight to play off the natural wood tones and polished surfaces.
