About the Project
Designed for a retired couple relocating to Southwest Florida, this coastal interior design project in Cape Coral, FL reflects a lifestyle centered on boating, family, and everyday living on the water.
From the start, each design decision focused on how the home would feel and function. As a result, the interiors support both quiet mornings overlooking the canal and relaxed evenings spent with children and grandchildren.
A Calm, Layered Coastal Palette
The interiors combine clean architectural lines with warmth and texture. Soft neutral tones create a calm foundation, while natural wood accents add depth and contrast.
At the center of the home, a statement kitchen anchors the main living space. In addition, the open layout allows each area to connect naturally. This creates a sense of flow while still maintaining comfort and definition.
Designed to Extend Beyond the Walls
Expansive glass openings dissolve the boundary between indoors and out, allowing natural light to shape the interiors throughout the day.
The outdoor living spaces were designed as a continuation of the interior palette creating a cohesive experience that feels intentional from every vantage point.

This home was designed for more than aesthetics. It was created to support the rhythms of everyday living whether hosting family, welcoming guests, and creating space to slow down.
The homeowners now refer to the home as “Dolphin Dreams,” a reflection of the life they envisioned and the moments they continue to create.
